WHAT IS COUNSELLING?
"Be strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when you need help, and brave enough to ask for it"
Counselling is a talking therapy carried out on a one to one basis by a trained practitioner who is adept in listening carefully without judgement. Counselling offers a safe and confidential space for you to talk.
Counsellors can help you discover yourself, exploring with you the way you perceive the world and helping you to better understand your thoughts and feelings.
Counsellors do not give advice but are empathic and non judgemental, helping you to move forward with your issues. A counselling relationship is one of trust, respect and safety.
A counselling session lasts for 50 minutes and takes place in a quiet, confidential setting.
